AN ACT concerning

Maryland Secondary Mortgage Loan Law

FOR the purpose of requiring surety bonds filed under the
Maryland Secondary Mortgage Loan Law — Licensing
Provisions to run to the benefit of certain persons.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Financial Institutions
Section 12-306(c)(2)
Annotated Code of Maryland

(As enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts

of the General Assembly of 1980)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ (H.B. 1) of the Acts of the

General Assembly of 1980) be repealed, amended, or enacted
to read as follows:

Article - Financial Institutions

12-306.

(c) (2) The surety bond filed under this subsection
shall run to the Bank Commissioner for the benefit of this
State AND OF ANY PERSON WHO HAS A CAUSE OF ACTION AGAINST
THE APPLICANT UNDER THE MARYLAND SECONDARY MORTGAGE LOAN
LAW.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980 January 1, 1981.
