SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 - Governor-Executive and
Administrative Departments

70A.

(a) As used in this section:

(4) "Law-enforcement unit" means any
governmental police force, sheriff's department, security
force or law-enforcement organization of the State, county,
or municipality which has by statute, ordinance, or common
law, the authority or the responsibility [of] FOR detecting
crime [or] AND FOR enforcing the general criminal laws of
this State.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

Prince George's County - Alcoholic Beverages - Revocation

and Suspension of Licenses and Permits

FOR the purpose of providing that certain violations,
revocations, and suspensions are considered a
conviction under the alcoholic beverage laws; and
removing a certain plea from consideration as a
conviction.
