[7-462.

On application signed by 60 percent of the workers of
any coal mine and approved by the Bureau, the operator of
the mine shall provide and maintain, at a convenient point
near the principal entrance of the mine, an adequate and
sanitary washroom for mine workers to use. On application
signed by 25 percent of the workers and approved by the
Bureau, the operator shall provide and maintain at a
location convenient, near to an entrance of the mine, a
sanitary washroom, adequate for the needs of those signatory
workers. Every washroom shall be heated, have hot and cold
water, and suitable means for bathing. A sufficient number
of lockers, adequate in size, shall be provided for the
workers, who, at their own risk, and with locks provided by
themselves may store their personal belongings in the
lockers. The cost of the operation of the washroom may be
borne, as agreed upon, by the operator and those workers.]

The provisions of this subtitle, include and apply to
any fireclay mine and the mining and handling of fireclay to

(b) The application for a permit shall be on a form
prescribed by the Secretary and shall be accompanied by a
$200 fee. As part of the application, the operator shall
include: (1) two copies of an accurate map or plan as
required by [§ 7-401(a) of this title] SUBSECTION (H) OF
THIS SECTION; (2) a detailed mine opening sealing plan and
general reclamation plan for the affected area; (3) any
other information required by the Secretary; and (4) an
application for each other permit required for the operation
by the Natural Resources Article.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Section(s)
7-401(a), (d), and (h); 7-402(c), (e), (f) and (g); 7-403;
7-404; 7-405; 7-449; 7-450(e), and (f) of Article - Natural
Resources, of the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered
to be Section(s) 7-5A-05(h); 7-5A-12(c), and (d); 7-401(a),
(b), (c), and (d); 7-402; 7-403; 7-404; 7-405; 7-406(a), and
(b), respectively.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
