FOR the purpose of altering the amount of an unsecured loan
for which a banking institution is required to obtain
certain information from the loan applicant.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Annotated Code of Maryland

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland

(as enacted by Chapter ____ of the Acts of the General

Assembly of 1980) be repealed, amended, or enacted to read
as follows:

Article - Financial Institutions

5-506.

Before a banking institution makes an unsecured loan of
[$2,500] $5,000 or more to any person, the banking
institution shall obtain sufficient financial information
from the person to support the loan.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

University of Maryland Hospital - Budget Appropriation

FOR the purpose of requiring the Governor to charge include
all direct and indirect personnel costs of the
University of Maryland Hospital to the special fund and
federal fund appropriations for that hospital; and
providing that these costs may not be charged to
general fund appropriations in the budget for
University Hospital.
