State Flag - Fire Fighters and Policemen
Killed in Line of Duty

FOR the purpose of requiring that the Governor Secretary of
State issue a Maryland State flag to the family of any
fire fighter or policeman killed in the line of duty,
and requiring certain State Senators to present the
flag to. the family of the deceased.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 38A - Fires and Investigations

43A.

THE GOVERNOR SECRETARY OF STATE OF MARYLAND SHALL ISSUE
A MARYLAND STATE FLAG TO THE FAMILY OF ANY FIRE FIGHTER
KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY. THE FLAG SHALL BE PRESENTED TO
THE FAMILY OF THE DECEASED FIRE FIGHTER OR POLICEMAN BY THE
STATE SENATOR OF THE LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT IN MARYLAND IN
WHICH THE DECEASED RESIDED.
