AN ACT concerning

Charles County - Alcoholic Beverages
(Penalties)

FOR the purpose of providing that the Charles County Board
of License Commissioners may impose a fine not to
exceed a certain amount or suspend an alcoholic
beverage license, for any violation of the alcoholic
beverages laws; and providing that all moneys collected
shall be deposited into the general funds of the
county.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

203.

(N) NOTWITHSTANDING ANY PROVISION OF THIS CODE TO THE
CONTRARY, IN CHARLES COUNTY, THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY IMPOSE A FINE NOT TO EXCEED $1,000 OR
SUSPEND AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LICENSE, FOR ANY VIOLATION OF
THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LAWS AFFECTING CHARLES COUNTY. ALL
MONEYS COLLECTED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION SHALL BE DEPOSITED
INTO THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.
