(B-l) IN CECIL COUNTY, THE BOARD OF LICENSE
COMMISSIONERS MAY EITHER IMPOSE A FINE OF NOT MORE THAN
$1,000 OR SUSPEND AN ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LICENSE FOR ANY
VIOLATION OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES LAWS AFFECTING CECIL
COUNTY. ALL MONEYS COLLECTED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION SHALL BE
DEPOSITED INTO THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE COUNTY.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

AN ACT concerning

Cecil County - State's Attorney's Office

FOR the purpose of altering the salaries for the several
assistant State's Attorneys in Cecil County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 10 - Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact

Section 40(h)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 10 - Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in Fact

40.

(h) In Cecil County, (1) the State's Attorney's salary
is $22,500 a year and he may serve part time. In addition
to the compensation provided for in this section, the
State's Attorney, for the operation of his office and the
performance of his duties, shall be entitled to a reasonable
expense allowance which shall be subject to the approval of
the Board of County Commissioners.

(2) The State's Attorney may appoint four
assistant State's attorneys to serve part time at the
pleasure of the State's Attorney. The first assistant
State's attorney's salary [is $12,000] SHALL BE NOT LESS
THAN $15,000 a year and two of the remaining three assistant
State's attorneys' salary [is $10,000] SHALL BE NOT LESS
