LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 226

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

95A.

In Carroll County, notwithstanding any other provisions
in this article, the following restrictions, limitations,
and regulations shall be in effect.

(1) Holders of "on-sale" licenses authorized
under this article may sell, offer for sale, or dispense
alcoholic beverages during the hours of 8 a.m.' and [2] 1
a.m. the following day and no other hours. Holders of these
licenses may not sell, offer to sell or dispense any
alcoholic beverages on Sunday except that when the holder of
that license is open for business on Saturday at midnight he
may remain open until [2] 1 a.m. the Sunday immediately
following and except that holders of Class B and C beer,
wine and liquor licenses may reopen and may sell alcoholic
beverages on Sundays between the hours of 12 noon and [2] 1
a.m. the following Monday. In all cases in which a closing
time is indicated in this subsection a licensee may not
permit the drinking of any alcoholic beverage on his
premises 15 minutes following the closing time indicated.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1980.

the adoption of proposed ordinances of intention by the
Carroll County Commissioners; clarifying language; and
generally relating to the maintenance and control of
storm water management and sediment control facilities
in Carroll County.
