   In the Name of God Amen I Ann Absly being sick and in low —
   Condition but in Sound and in perfect memory and calling to mind
   the uncertainty of this life do make and ordain this my last Will +
   Testament— Item I give and bequeath my Soul to God who gave it
   me, my Body to be decently bury’d at the Descestion of my Executor —
   hereafter mentioned ——
   Item I give and bequeath to my son George Absly Forty pound —
   Specie and my shoe Buckles . —
   Item I give and bequeath to my son William Absly one Negro boy
   called Will . —
   Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter Ann Absly one Negro Wench
   big with Child called Peg & my gold Sleave Buttons and the remainder
   of my Estate after my Lawfully Debts is paid to be equally divided —
   between my three Children, — And I do hereby appoint my —
   Father Robert Roberts to be my whole and Sole Executor of this my
   Last Will and Testament —

   Joel Willis, George Hartshorn, James Wroth Junr. —
   Augst. 20th. 1782. Then Came Joel Willis George Hartshorn & James Wroth Junr.
   the three Subscribing Witnesses to the within last Will + Testament
   of Ann Absoley late of Kent County deceased, and Severally made Oath
   Oath on the Holy Evangels of Almighty God, that they did see the —
   Testator therein named Sign & seal this Will, and that they heard
   her publish, pronounce and declare the same to be her last Will
   and Testament, that at the time of her so doing she was to the best
   of their apprehensions of sound and disposing mind, memory +
   understanding; And that they respectively subscribed their names
   as Witnesses to this Will, in the presence, and at the request of the
   Testator, and in the presence of each other . ——
