(121) Kent County in the State of Maryland In the name of God Amen I Abraham Woodland of Kent County farmer being sick of Body but of sound disposing mind & memory do ~ make this my last Will & Testament in manner & form following Vizt. ~ Imprimis I give & bequeath to my Son John & his heirs for ever part of Several Tracts of lands begining at the original bounded Tree of a tract of land called partnership point and runing from thence down Chester river by the meanders of the said river till it intersects the mouth of a Creek ~ called Back Creek and runing up the channel of the said creek to an old bridge that crosses the creek a little below my dwelling house thence east with the said bridge to the fast land, then runing on the fast land up the creek and branch the several crooks and turns of the said Creek & branch till it intersects a Tract of land belonging to Lambert with the said Land Keating, then runing east with^ till it intersects Pricklay Pear Creek ~ then runing down the channel of the said creek to the river, thence down the river to the first line, then a Strait line to the begining tree, containing two hundred and fifty acres more or less. Likewise I give & bequeath to my said Son John a feather bed & furniture with five Negroes Viz. Negro Peter, Negro Jacob, and Negro Silvey with her two youngest children named Poll & Silvey, a Mare and horse, the one called Chance the other Milly Jones, three Cows & Calves, eight Sheep & eight hogs, likewise the wheat Fan I bought of William Kelley, a plow & tackling to him & his heirs fore ever Item I give & bequeath to my Daughter Mary Kelley a feather bed & furniture with four Negro’s Viz Negro Sall & her youngest child Isaac, a Negro boy ~ called Sam, a Negro Girl eight hogs, with a [Mare] called Kate, a horse called Liberty, a roaned Mare I bought of James Butcher, a plow & tackling, a Corn harrow, & a horse Cart; to her and her heirs for ever. Item I give & bequeath to my son James to him & his heirs for ever my dwelling plantation with all its Improvements thereon, likewise five Negro’s Vizt. a Negro boy named Sharp, a Negro boy called Daniel, a Negro Girl named Jude, a Negro man called Catoe, a Negro Girl named Grace, two feather beds with – their furniture, my Clock, a large corner Cupboard with all the Chinea Ware |
