(8) Such other information with regard to the
financial affairs of the county or other political
subdivisions as may seem to the Division of Fiscal Research
pertinent to any of the foregoing or as may seem to the
Division appropriate and necessary in order to show
accurately the true financial condition of the county or
other political subdivision.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Medical Treatment for Juvenile Inmates
of the Baltimore City Jail

FOR the purpose of granting authority to the warden of the
Baltimore City Jail and his designees to provide for
medical treatment of juvenile inmates under certain
conditions; and conferring a certain immunity from
liability therefor.

BY adding to

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

Section 700H

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 27 - Crimes and Punishments

700H.

THE WARDEN OF THE BALTIMORE CITY JAIL AND HIS DESIGNEES
MAY AUTHORIZE MEDICAL TREATMENT OF A JUVENILE INMATE OF THE
JAIL WHEN IN THEIR JUDGMENT SUCH TREATMENT IS REQUIRED AND A
PARENT, GUARDIAN, OR PERSON IN LOCO PARENTIS OF THE JUVENILE
IS NOT ON A TIMELY BASIS AVAILABLE TO GIVE THE
AUTHORIZATION. NO LIABILITY OF ANY KIND SHALL ATTACH TO THE
WARDEN OR HIS DESIGNEES FOR AUTHORIZING SUCH MEDICAL
TREATMENT IN GOOD FAITH.
