CONTINUE TO BE BUDGETED SEPARATELY AS A LINE ITEM
APPROPRIATION IN THE FISCAL YEARS OF PUBLICATION. ANY
UNEXPENDED AMOUNT REMAINING IN THE ACCOUNT AT THE END OF
FISCAL YEAR 1980 AND ANY SUBSEQUENT FISCAL YEAR DOES NOT
REVERT TO THE GENERAL FUNDS OF THE STATE, BUT SHALL BE
MAINTAINED IN THE ACCOUNT AS A SPECIAL FUND, UP TO A MAXIMUM
OF $30,000. ANY EXCESS FUNDS IN THE ACCOUNT OVER $30,000
REMAINING AT THE END OF ANY FISCAL YEAR SHALL REVERT TO THE
GENERAL FUNDS OF THE STATE.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning
Elections - Nominations by Petitions
FOR the purpose of amending the provisions for nominations
by petitions for certain offices; specifying a certain
period for determination of the number of required
signatures; providing for the filing of and
verification of signatures on petitions, subject to
certain conditions, and for delivery of certain papers
to the State Administrative Board of Election Laws;
enabling the State Board to determine the form of
petitions; changing the provisions for affidavits
accompanying petitions; specifying the applicability of
certain provisions to county board of education
candidates; and generally relating to nominations by
petition.
BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
