to be Section 1(b), (c), and (d), respectively

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) 1(a), (b), and (c), respectively,
of Article 75 1/2 - Professional Engineers, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s) 1(b), (c),
and (d), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That section(s)
of the Annotated Code of Maryland be repealed, amended, or
enacted to read as follows:

Article 75 1/2 - Professional Engineers

(A) THE PURPOSE OF THIS ARTICLE IS TO SAFEGUARD LIFE,
HEALTH, AND PROPERTY, AND TO PROMOTE THE PUBLIC WELFARE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
