re—enacting, with amendments, subsection (a) of Section
52-16B, title "Beverage Container Tax", to provide that the
tax shall be levied and imposed January 1, 1978.

Chapter 9

AN ACT to add a new Article VIII, title "Miscellaneous
Provisions", and a new Section 31—68, title "Executive
rules, regulations and orders in effect prior to the
effective date of this Chapter" to Chapter 31, title "Motor
Vehicles and Traffic", Montgomery County Code, 1972, as
amended, to follow immediately after Section 31—67 thereof
for the purpose of allowing all County Executive rules,
regulations, and order in effect immediately preceding the
effective date of this Chapter to remain in effect, to the
extent that they are consistent with this Chapter, until
changed by the County Executive.

AN ACT to amend Article VII, title "Miscellaneous" of
Chapter 11B, title "Contracts, purchases and dispositions"
of the Montgomery County Code 1972, as amended, by adding a
new Section 11B—45, title "Contracts for Refuse Collection
Districts" to state the County's legislative findings
regarding the refuse collection district contracts and to
establish certain contract specifications which require
minimum employee benefits to apply to those contractor
employees working on county refuse collection service
contracts and to provide for termination of these
requirements after June 30, 1980.
