AN ORDINANCE to repeal and re-enact, with amendments,
Sections 12-2400 (a), 12-2402, 12-2403, 12-2404(a) and (c),
12-2405, 12-2406, 2-2409, 12-2410, 12-2414, 12-2419(b) and
12-2420 of the Anne Arundel County Code (1967 Edition and
Supplements), Title 12, "Licenses, Permits and Franchises",
Subtitle 24, "Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration",
and to add new Sections 12-2423 through 12-2429, inclusive,
to the same Code, Title and Subtitle, to follow immediately
after Section 12-2422 thereof; to change certain licenses
and license requirements relating to heating, air
conditioning and refrigeration, to add certain definitions,
to establish certain restrictions on individual and
corporate licensees, to establish and clarify qualifications
for certain new licenses; changing certain test
requirements; to permit the posting of cash or a certified
check in lieu of a penal bond in certain circumstances;
providing certain exemptions from certain subtitle
requirements under certain conditions; providing for
injunctive relief or other appropriate proceedings to have
certain violations restrained or corrected; to adopt a
mechanical code for Anne Arundel County pertaining to the
design, installation, servicing, alteration, remodeling and
repair of heating systems, cooling systems, and
refrigeration systems, establishing certain disconnect
means, use and location requirements; providing for the
submittal of a notice of readiness after certain work is
completed; establishing certain inspection procedures;
requiring backflow preventers and cut off valves under
certain circumstances; and generally relating to the
establishment of a mechanical code and changes in license
requirements, procedures and remedies applicable to certain
heating, air conditioning and mechanical licenses.

AN ORDINANCE to add new Sections 17-900 through 17-907,
inclusive, to the Anne Arundel County Code, (1967 Edition
and Supplements), Title 17, "Taxation", to be under the new
Subtitle 9, "Waterways Improvement Districts", to follow
immediately after Section 17-800 of Subtitle 8 thereof, to
provide for the establishment, administration, financing and
termination of special taxing districts known as Waterways
Improvement Districts; and to provide generally for matters
relating thereto.
