AN ACT concerning

Vehicle Laws - Fees for Duplicate Cards

FOR the purpose of providing that a fee be charged for the
issuance by the Motor Vehicle Administration of
duplicates of Special Identification Cards, Age of
Majority Cards, and Salvage Certificates.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article - Transportation

Section 12-301(b), 12-302(b), and 13-506(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Transportation

12-301.

(b) (1) Except as provided in paragraph (2) of this
subsection, the fee for the issuance of a special
identification card is $2. THE FEE FOR ISSUANCE OF A
DUPLICATE SPECIAL IDENTIFICATION CARD IS $1.

the card:

(2) A fee  is not required if the applicant for

(i)       Is 65 years old or older;

(ii)     Is legally blind;

(iii)  Has permanently lost the use of a leg
or an arm; or

(iv)     Is disabled so severely that the
applicant cannot move without the aid of crutches or a
wheelchair.
