Two members of the Senate who are members of a
committee hearing bills on nonpublic special education
programs appointed by the President of the Senate; and
Two members of the House of Delegates who are
members of a committee hearing bills on nonpublic special
education programs appointed by the Speaker of the House;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Commission shall make a report of
its findings and recommendations to the Governor Legislative
Policy Committee and the General Assembly no later than
January 1, 1980.

A House Joint Resolution concerning
Samuel A. Mudd Home
FOR the purpose of requesting the General Assembly to
continue to give more support to recognizing the Dr.
Samuel A. Mudd Home as an historical site; and
requesting the Maryland Historical Trust to take all
steps necessary in restoring the Dr. Samuel A. Mudd
Home as an historical site.
WHEREAS, The Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Home in Charles County
is of great historical significance to the people of
Maryland; and
WHEREAS, The Maryland Historical Trust was created by
the General Assembly for the purpose of preserving and
maintaining historical, aesthetic, and cultural properties;
and
WHEREAS, The State of Maryland has a rich and full
history embodied and preserved in homes and other buildings
throughout the State; and
WHEREAS, The Dr. Samuel A. Mudd Home has been
recognized as an Historical site by the National Register of
Historical Places; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the
Maryland Historical Trust is requested to move rapidly
towards reconstruction and take all steps necessary to have
the Samuel A. Mudd Home restored as an historical site; and
