liquor fees for restaurants, hotels and clubs] AS NECESSARY
TO PROVIDE APPROPRIATE CONTROL OVER NEWLY CREATED CLASS A

OFF-SALE LICENSEES. EACH INSPECTOR SHALL BE DIRECTLY

RESPONSIBLE ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS TO THE GENERAL MANAGER.

161.

(a) (3) In the following counties they may sell any
alcoholic beverages except beer:

(i) [Harford

(ii)] Kent

[(iii)] (II) Somerset

[(iv)] (III) Worcester

[(b) In Harford County the county liquor dispensaries
shall be established and maintained in those locations as
may be selected by the liquor control board, subject to the
prior approval of the Board of County Commissioners for
Harford County and in compliance with applicable zoning
regulations. However, at least one such dispensary shall be
maintained within the corporate limits of Aberdeen, Bel Air,
and Havre de Grace. The building in which any dispensary in
Harford County is located must have a glass front opening on
a public street and must be so arranged that the interior is
at all times subject to the view of persons passing along
the street in front of it. Chairs or tables may not be
permitted in front of the counter of any dispensary and
loitering or loafing may not be permitted in or near any
dispensary. A dispensary may not be operated nearer than 500
feet to any church or 1,000 feet to any public or private
school. The dispensaries may not be open on Sundays and on
weekdays shall be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., or for a
shorter period as the board may determine.]

161.

(B) (1) (I) THIS SUBSECTION APPLIES ONLY IN HARFORD
COUNTY.

(2)(II) AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 1981, THE DISPENSARY
SYSTEM IS TERMINATED.

(3) (III) AS OF THE TERMINATION DATE, THE

DISPENSARIES SHALL LIQUIDATE ALL STOCK IN ANY MANNER

PRESCRIBED BY THE BOARD AND THE PROFITS FROM THE SALE OF
THAT STOCK SHALL BE~DISBURSED IN THE SAME MANNER AS IS THE
CASE AS OF JULY 1, 1979, LESS THE COSTS OF ADMINISTRATION BY
THE BOARD.

(C) (1) (2)(I) AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, 1981, ONE-THIRD OF
THE GALLONAGE TAX RECEIVED SHALL BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE
MUNICIPAL CORPORATIONS LOCATED IN HARFORD COUNTY ON THE
BASIS OF ONE-NINTH OF THE PROFITS RECEIPTS TO EACH. IN NO
CASE SHOULD THIS BE LESS THAN THE 1979 FISCAL YEAR
DISTRIBUTION.
