regulations as may be needed for the administration of this
section, to the extent not inconsistent with this section.

(2)   Each taxpayer entitled to a credit shall be
given a notice of the credit at the time the tax bill is
sent to him. He may apply for the credit at any time up to
October 1 of the taxable year, but, EXCEPT IN FREDERICK
COUNTY, if he has not made application on or before this
date, the credit shall not be allowed. Application shall be
made under oath or affirmation.

(3)   IN FREDERICK COUNTY ONLY, ANY TAXPAYER
ENTITLED TO A TAX CREDIT UNDER THIS SECTION MAY APPLY FOR
THE CREDIT AT ANY TIME UP TO OCTOBER 1 OF THE TAXABLE YEAR,
AND THE TAX CREDIT RECEIVED SHALL CONTINUE FROM YEAR TO YEAR
UNTIL THE PROPERTY IS CONVEYED.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

(House Bill 1760)

AN ACT concerning

Public Housing Assistance — Restrictions on Nonresidents

FOR the purpose of providing that certain public housing
assistance be made available only to residents of
certain areas in Prince George's County; providing that
entities which are similar in purpose to housing
authorities shall be subject to certain provisions of
law which affect housing authorities; and expanding the
power of cities to authorize housing authorities and
similar entities.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 44A — Housing Authorities

Section 3 (i) and (j) , and (4)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1971 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section (s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:
