(House Bill 1134)

AN ACT concerning

Frederick County - Smoking

FOR the purpose of allowing the County Commissioners of
Frederick County to prohibit or regulate the smoking of
tobacco products by designating smoking and no smoking
areas in public buildings owned, controlled, or
financed by the State of Maryland in Frederick County.

BY adding to

Article 25 — County Commissioners

Section 3(jj)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section (s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 25 — County Commissioners

3.

(JJ) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF FREDERICK COUNTY MAY
PROHIBIT OR REGULATE THE SHORING OF TOBACCO PRODUCTS BY
DESIGNATING SMOKING AND NO SMOKING AREAS IN PUBLIC BUILDINGS
OWNED, CONTROLLED, OR FINANCED BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND IN
