BE CONFINED IN A JAIL, DETENTION CENTER OR CORRECTIONAL

FACILITY FOR PRISONERS UNTIL THE DEPARTMENT OF___HEALTH AND

MENTAL HYGIENE CAN CONDUCT AN EVALUATION OF THE PRISONER.

WHEN THE DEPARTMENT CAN CONDUCT AN EVALUATION OF THE

PRISONER, THE PRISONER SHALL BE TRANSPORTED BY AN AGENCY

THE COURT TO THE EVALUATION FACILITY DESIGNATED BY THE

DEPARTMENT. AFTER EVALUATION BY THE DEPARTMENT, THE

PRISONER SHALL BE RETURNED TO THE CUSTODIAL FACILITY BY AN

AGENCY OF THE COURT.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Dentistry - Specialized Practice —Qualifications

FOR the purpose of prohibiting a licensed dentist from

holding himself out to the public as a specialist

except under certain conditions; determining__when a

licensed dentist is holding himself out as a

specialist; establishing certain suitable fields for
specialized dental practice; authorizing the Board of

Dental Examiners to establish certain rules and

regulations for identification as a dental specialist

qualifications for dental practice in certain fields;

and establishing certain limitations on the activities
of certain dentists.

BY adding to

Article 32 — Dentistry

Section 5A and_5B

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1976 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section (s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 32 - Dentistry

5A.

(A) UPON REQUEST OF A LICENSED DENTIST THE BOARD

SHALL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT THAT DENTIST QUALIFIES TO BE

IDENTIFIED AS A SPECIALIST.
