HARRY HUGHES, Governor                                  1915

Fund. [On and after June 1, 1974, each] EACH thoroughbred
track licensed under §§ 7 and 15 of this article shall
allocate [10%] 10 PERCENT of the one half of the breakage
allocated for purse money to the Maryland—Bred Race Fund.
Any moneys allocated under this article and not disbursed
during any current meeting in Maryland—Bred Fund races,
within [five (5) ] 5 days after the close of each meeting
shall be paid to the Maryland Racing Commission. The
Commission shall hold all moneys so allocated and received
in a fund to be known as the "Maryland—Bred Racing Fund,"
which fund shall be deposited by the Commission in one or
more banks or trust companies in the State. The members of
the Commission shall have no personal liability for loss to
the fund by reason of the failure or insolvency or other
fault of any depository if they shall use ordinary care in
the selection of the depository. The Commission shall
require any depository to secure by collateral any deposit
therein comprising a part or all of the fund.

(G) A TRACK LICENSEE MAY NOT BE REQUIRED TO
CONTRIBUTE ANY PURSES, STAKES, BREEDERS' AWARDS OR BONUSES
IN EXCESS OF THE ALLOCATIONS TO THE MARYLAND-BRED RACE FUND
AS PROVIDED BY THIS SECTION AND THE PURSES ESTABLISHED UNDER
SECTIONS 11(B) OR 16(B).

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979,

AN ACT concerning

Carroll, Cecil, and Frederick Counties — Fire Police

FOR the purpose of altering the number of fire police that
may be appointed by the sheriff of the respective
counties; providing that a captian captain or other
commanding officer of a fire company may designate a
certain number of the members of the fire company that
may be appointed by the sheriff as fire police; and
generally relating to fire police in Carroll, Cecil,
and Frederick counties.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
