in the county jail until [such] THE fine [be] IS paid, or
until discharged by due process of law. [; but it] IN all
other cases of trespass, the party trespassed upon [shall be
entitled to] MAY recover from the owner of the stock the
amount of damages done by [such] THE trespass, as is
provided for by law, except that if the stock so trespassing

Fire and Rescue Commission, Fair Board

     and Calvert County Hospital

175.

(a) (1) The County Commissioners [of Calvert
County] shall create a Fire and Rescue Commission. The
Commission shall consist of six [(6)] members who shall be
determined as follows:

[(a)](I) One member of a county fire
department and one member of a county rescue squad to be
elected by the County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association.

[(b)](II) One member from each of the
three election districts to be appointed by the County
Commissioners from a list of three [(3)] county residents
from each election district, submitted by the County
Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association, none of whom shall be
members of a county fire department or rescue squad.

[(c)](III) One member [shall] TO be a
County Commissioner or their designee.

(2)    The   County Commissioners [are authorized
to] MAY provide the   Commission, by resolution or ordinance,
with whatever powers     and duties and [to] MAY establish
whatever terms of     office for the members as they deem
appropriate. However, the resolution or ordinance shall
include those powers   and duties required under (3), (5), and
(6) below.

(3)    The County Commissioners shall appropriate
funds annually in amounts they consider necessary for the
Fire and Rescue Commission. [, provided that] HOWEVER, THE
MINIMUM TOTAL AMOUNT [SHALL] MAY NOT be [no] less than [one
hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) ] $100,000. The amounts
[to be distributed] DISTRIBUTED to each fire and rescue
department shall be in accordance with a budget plan
approved by the Fire and Rescue Commission. The
distribution of the funds shall be made by the County
Commissioners after receiving the approved budget plan from
the Fire and Rescue Commission.
