(e) THE treasurer shall pay over according to law or
to the order of the County Commissioners [, in the manner
hereinbefore prescribed,] all county taxes and all moneys
due [said] THE county and collected by him. [; and he] HE
shall {also] pay over ALSO to the Treasurer of the State [of
Maryland] according to law[ , ] all the State taxes levied in
[said] THE county and collected by him, and he shall be
allowed until [the thirty—first day of] December 31 of the
year next succeeding the levy to complete [the] HIS
collection [thereof,] and to make his final settlement with
the [said] County Commissioners and with the Treasurer of
Maryland, respectively. [; and he] HE shall have until
[said] THAT time to complete his collections and make his
final settlement whether his terra of office has expired or
not. [; and all] ALL claims for erroneous, insolvent or
uncollectible tax bills for which he [shall claim] CLAIMS a
credit shall be presented before or at the time specified
for [said] THE final settlement, and in no case shall the
[said] Commissioners allow credit [therefor] FOR THEM after
the term specified for final settlement. [, and at] AT the
expiration of the time for final settlement his bond or
bonds shall be liable for the unaccounted balance in his
hands, and [it shall be the duty of] the County
Commissioners [and they are hereby required to] SHALL enter
suit upon the county bond of [said] THE treasurer for all
county taxes remaining uncollected.

Article 81, Section 72(b) of the Annotated Code and are
proposed for repeal.)
130.
At the general election held on the first Tuesday after
the first Monday in November every fourth year, accounting
from the year 1942, [there shall be elected] a county
treasurer for Calvert County SHALL BE ELECTED by the
qualified voters of [said] THE county[,] who shall hold
office for four years[, and] OR until his successor is
elected and qualified. [, as is hereinafter provided, to]
HE [be] IS subject to removal for wilful neglect of duty or
misdemeanor in office upon conviction in a court of law. [;
he] HE [shall] IS not [be] eligible [to] FOR re-election
until after an interval of one full term and until he [shall
have] HAS fully settled up all business connected with his
former term. [; and the] THE persons elected to [said] THIS
office under the provisions of this section shall hold [the
same] IT for four years from [the first day of] January 1
succeeding their election. [; and the said] THE treasurer
shall [in all respects] be clothed IN ALL RESPECTS with the
powers given by this subtitle.
131.
The provisions of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland [now in force or hereafter enacted,] applicable to
collectors of State and county taxes, except when [the same]
