Lights on Vehicles)

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Fire Chief and certain
other members of each volunteer fire company in Cecil

County, Queen—Anne's—County, and Kent County to have

their vehicles equipped with certain lights or signal
devices; restricting the use of the lights or signal
devices to certain emergency occasions; and requiring
the sheriff of Kent County to appoint a certain number
of members of volunteer fire companies in Kent County
as deputy sheriffs to function as fire police.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

Article 8 - Cecil County

1-10A.

THE FIRE CHIEF, HIS TWO CHIEF DEPUTIES OR HIS
DESIGNATED FIRST AND SECOND CHIEF ASSISTANTS OF EACH
VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY IN CECIL COUNTY MAY HAVE THEIR
VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH RED OR WHITE, OR BED AND WHITE AMBER
LIGHTS OR SIGNAL DEVICES DESIGNED TO EMIT AN OSCILLATING,
ROTATING, BLINKING, OR OTHER TYPE OF EMISSION OF LIGHT. THE
LIGHTS OR SIGNAL DEVICES MAY BE FLASHED OR OSCILLATED OR
