Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board — Baltimore City

FOR the purpose of extending the terms of the additional
members of the Property Tax Assessment Appeals Board in
Baltimore City until a certain date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 218 (a) (2) (i)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes

248.

(a) (2) (i) In Baltimore City, to augment the members
of the board created in paragraph (1), there shall be
additional members appointed as provided in that paragraph,
so that the membership totals 12. Each of the additional
members shall be appointed for a term not extending beyond
[June 1, 1979 3, JULY 1, 1980 and (b) does not apply to them.
If a vacancy occurs among the additional members, a
replacement member may likewise be appointed for the
remainder of the term.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
