(House Bill 1226)

AN ACT concerning

Hunting — Wild Waterfowl —Elevated Stands

FOR the purpose of prohibiting the hunting of wild waterfowl
from certain elevated structures places that are

located above the ground.

BY adding to

Article — Natural Resources
Section 10-603.1
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Natural Resources

10-603. 1.

A PERSON MAY NOT HUNT WILD WATERFOWL FROM A STRUCTURE
OR PLATFORM THAT:

(1) IS ELEVATED ABOVE THE GROUND; OR

(2) IS ATTACHED TO A TREE. POSITION LOCATED MORE

THAN 10 FEET ABOVE THE GROUND IN THE AIR.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
