AN ACT concerning

Workmen's Compensation — Close Corporations

FOR the purpose of allowing an officer of a close
corporation to be excluded from those employees subject
to certain provisions of the Workmen's Compensation
laws; providing that an officer of a close corporation
may not be excluded from those employees subject to the
provisions of the Workmen's Compensation article until
the employer serves upon the employer's insurance
carrier and upon the Commission written notice naming
the person electing not to be covered; and clarifying
language.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 10 1 — Workmen's Compensation
Section 21(b)(2) and (3), and 67(4)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 101 — Workmen's Compensation

(b) The following shall constitute employees subject
to the provisions of this act, except as exempted under
subsection (c) of this section:
