to pay extra compensation for guide dogs, provided he may be
liable for any damages done to the premises or facilities by

his dog.

Article 56 — Licenses
192.

(A)   If the application shall disclose and the clerk be
satisfied that the dog for which the license is sought is a
"dog guide," trained to aid the blind or deaf or ("audio
handicapped] HEARING IMPAIRED, as the case may be, and
actually in use for such purpose, the license therefor shall
be issued without the payment of any fee and the clerk shall
inscribe across the face of the license in red ink the words
"dog guide." [If the dog, for which the license is sought,
is to aid the deaf or audio handicapped, the "dog guide"
must have received at least 3 months training in a
professional training school for guide dogs to assist the
deaf or audio handicapped. In lieu of a certificate from a
professional training school, an affidavit may be filed with
the application that the dog for which the license is sought
has received the required training to aid the deaf or audio
handicapped. A "dog guide" license for the deaf or audio
handicapped shall be orange in color.]

(B)     (1) IF THE DOG FOR WHICH THE LICENSE IS SOUGHT
IS TO AID THE DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED, THE APPLICATION
SHALL BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN AFFIDAVIT FROM THE OWNER OR
OWNERS STATING THAT THE DOG FOR WHICH THE LICENSE IS SOUGHT
HAS BEEN TRAINED TO AID THE DEAF OR HEARING IMPAIRED. FORMS
FOR AFFIDAVITS REQUIRED UNDER THIS SUBSECTION SHALL BE MADE
AVAILABLE BY THE LOCAL LICENSING AGENCY IN EACH SUBDIVISION.

(2) THE DOG GUIDE TO AID THE DEAF OR HEARING
IMPAIRED SHALL BE ISSUED AN ORANGE LICENSE TAG IN ADDITION
TO THE TAG ISSUED PURSUANT TO SECTION 19 1. THE ORANGE TAG
SHALL BE LABELED "HEARING EAR DOG." PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 41,
SECTION 231M, THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES SHALL
PURCHASE THE ORANGE TAGS AND MAKE THEM AVAILABLE TO THE
COUNTIES UPON REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE COST OF THE TAGS.

Article — Transportation

21-511.

(a) (1) At any highway crossing      or intersection

where traffic is not regulated by a      police officer or

traffic control signal, a blind or        partially blind
pedestrian has the right—of—way if:

(i) Before attempting to cross, he extends
before him at arm's length, a white cane, a cane that is
white tipped with red, or a chrome, nickel, aluminum, or
other reflecting or shining metal cane; or

(ii) He is accompanied by a guide dog.
