AN ACT concerning

Community Mental Health Programs

FOR the purpose of providing that employees of certain
community mental health programs be compensated at at
least the same rate as comparable State employees at
State mental health facilities.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 43 - Health

(M) SALARIES FOR EMPLOYEES OF COMMUNITY MENTAL HEALTH
PROGRAMS FUNDED BY THE STATE AND DESIGNATED BY THE STATE
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MENTAL HYGIENE TO SERVE A SPECIFIC
GEOGRAPHIC CATCHMENT AREA SHALL BE NO LESS THAN SALARIES OF
STATE EMPLOYEES OF A COMPARABLE GRADE AND STEP AT STATE
MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
