AN ACT concerning

Supreme Bench of Baltimore — Juvenile Division

FOR the purpose of deleting provisions for the transfer of
the clerk's office of the juvenile division of the
Supreme Bench of Baltimore City, after a certain date.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 52A - Juvenile Services

Section 14A

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1972 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 52A — Juvenile Services

14A.

Effective July 1, 1976, the clerk»s office of the
juvenile division of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City
shall function as a unit within the Administrative Office of
the Courts. All employees are employees of the
Administrative Office and are under the immediate direction,
supervision, and control of the judge of the juvenile
division. All of the powers, duties, equipment, assets, and
liabilities of the clerk's office of the juvenile division
shall be transferred to and shall become the powers, duties,
equipment, assets, and liabilities of the Administrative
Office of the Courts. [This transfer shall be in effect
until January 1, 1980, at which time the functions, powers,
duties, equipment, assets, liabilities and personnel of the
juvenile division shall be transferred to the office of the
clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.]

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
