SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Transportation

13-404.

(c) (1) The county treasurer of each county in this
State shall act as the agent of the Administration in the
registration of vehicles and in the issuance of registration
plates and registration cards for the following classes of
vehicles;

(i) [Class A (passenger);

(ii)] Class D (motorcycles);

[(iii)] (II) Class E (trucks) :

[(iv)] (III) Class F (tractors): and

[(v)] (IV) Class 6 (trailers).

13-912.

(a)        When registered with the Administration, every
passenger car and station wagon, except as otherwise
provided in this part, is a Class A (passenger) vehicle,

(b)        For each Class A (passenger) vehicle, the annual
registration fee is:

(1)        For a vehicle with a manufacturer's
shipping weight of 3,700 pounds or less — $20; and

(2)        For a vehicle with a manufacturer's
shipping weight of more than 3,700 pounds — $30.
