AN ACT concerning

Open Meetings — Board of Public Works

FOR the purpose of deleting from the law regarding "Meetings
of Public Bodies" a provision that the law does not
apply to the Board of Public Works except at an
official and formal meeting.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 76A — Public Information

Section 9

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 76A - Public Information

9.

This subtitle shall apply to a public body when it is
exercising legislative, quasi—legislative or advisory
functions. This subtitle shall not apply to a public body
when exercising executive, judicial or quasi—judicial
functions; the Governor's executive council or its
counterpart in local government, or any committee of the
council or its counterpart; or the Board of Public Works,
except when meeting at an official and formal meeting].

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
