Creation of a State Debt — Bird River and North
East Creek Dredging

FOR the purpose of amending Chapter 5 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1977, as amended by Chapter 826 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1978, to extend for
a certain period of time the time by which the Inland
Waterways Improvement Association shall present
evidence satisfactory to the Board of Public Works that
it has received approval by the Water Resources
Administration of dredging plans and a dumping site for
dredged material for the dredging of Bird River, in
order to receive certain funds; altering the total
amount of bonds authorized under that Act and the
apportionment of that amount between the Bird River
Dredging Project and the North East Creek Dredging
Project; providing that the County Executive and County
Council of Baltimore County shall have until a certain
date to present evidence satisfactory to the Board of
Public Works that they have received approval by the
Water Resources Administration of dredging plans and a
dumping site for dredged material for the dredging of
North East Creek in order to receive certain funds;
extending the period of time after which certain funds
not encumbered are deemed abandoned; and renumbering.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Chapter 5 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1977,
as amended by Chapter 826 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of 1978

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF

MARYLAND, That chapter(s) of the Acts of the General

Assembly be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as
follows:

(1) The Board of Public Works may borrow money and
incur indebtedness on behalf of the State of Maryland
through a State loan to be known as the Bird River and North
East Creek Dredging Loan of 1976 in the aggregate principal
