LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 482

FOR the purpose of changing the name of the Authority;
providing for the creation and operation of additional
markets in the Greater Baltimore Region; providing the
Authority with powers to establish ancillary or other
appurtenant facilities at markets; providing for an
increase in the aggregate amount of the issuance of
revenue bonds; allowing the Authority to determine the
interest rate or rates at which revenue bonds may be
issued; requiring the Authority to comply with certain

provisions regarding purchases from minority

businesses; and allowing the Authority to charge and
apportion certain costs; and generally relating to
operation of the Authority.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative
Departments

Section 14G(a) (1); 410, 411(2) and (4), 412(a), 413(a)
and (f) , 414(g) 414(c) and (g), 420(a) and (b),
and 421 (a) to be under the amended subtitle "40
Maryland Food Authority"

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1978 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 41 — Governor — Executive and Administrative

Departments

14G.

(a) In this section the following words have the
meanings indicated;

(1) "Department" means the State Departments of
Education, General Services, and Transportation, the
University of Maryland. THE MARYLAND FOOD AUTHORITY, and the
Interagency Committee on Public School Construction.

This subtitle may be cited as "The Maryland [Wholesale]
Food Authority Act."

411.

The General Assembly of Maryland makes the following
declarations as a statement of its legislative intent in the
enactment of this subtitle:
