judges of the Supreme Bench of Baltimore City.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

AN ACT concerning

Public Education - School Holidays

FOR the purpose of authorizing county boards of education to
choose between certain federal and State holiday
observances when there is a difference between the two.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Section 7-103 (c)

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1978 Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article - Education

7-103.

(c) (1) The following days are public school holidays:

(i) Thanksgiving Day and the day after;

(ii) Christmas Eve and from then through
January 1;
