SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 89 — Division of Labor and Industry

65.

(g) "[Certification] CERTIFICATE of inspection" means
a certificate issued by the Commissioner of Labor and
Industry, subsequent to an inspection by the Commissioner or
his authorized representative[, that certifies that an
amusement ride or attraction meets all relevant provisions
of this subtitle and the standards and regulations adopted
under this subtitle].

(O) "WORKING DAYS" MEANS MONDAYS THROUGH FRIDAYS, BUT
DOES NOT INCLUDE SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS, OR STATE HOLIDAYS.

69.

(a) The Amusement RIDE Safety Advisory Board is
created.

72.

(a) The Commissioner or his authorized representative
shall inspect any:

(1)   Amusement PARK ride and attraction annually;

(2)   Fair and carnival AMUSEMENT RIDE AND
ATTRACTION before beginning of its operation at each new
location; or

(3)   New or modified amusement ride and
attraction before commencing its public operation.
