Ch. 412

[(10)] (9) The salary of the State's Attorney,
the deputy State's attorney, principal assistant State's
attorney, [senior assistant State's attorneys] and the
assistant State's attorneys shall be paid in equal
semimonthly installments.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

(House Bill 1779)

AN ACT concerning

St. Mary's County - Volunteer Fire
Department Retirement Fund

FOR the purpose of providing authority for the St. Mary's
County Commissioners to establish a retirement program
for volunteer firemen and rescue squadsmen; and
providing for the County Commissioners to adopt certain
bylaws by resolution.

BY adding to

Article 25 - County Commissioners

Section 13C

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1973 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 25 - County Commissioners

13C.

THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY
MAY CREATE AND ESTABLISH A RETIREMENT PROGRAM FOR QUALIFIED
MEMBERS OF VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND RESCUE SQUADS AND
ADOPT THE BYLAWS OF THIS PROGRAM BY RESOLUTION.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
