AN ACT concerning

Gasohol Testing Program

FOR the purpose of directing the Secretary of Agriculture to
appoint a study commission to study the effectiveness
of gasohol; Department of General Services directing
the Secretary of Agriculture to appoint a task force
with a certain membership to initiate a gasohol testing
program to last for a certain period of time; directing
the procurement of certain test motor vehicles and
supplies of gasohol for the testing program by the
Department of General Services; directing the Secretary
of General Services to appoint a task force to design
and conduct the tests; providing for funding of the
tests; providing for certain testing procedures;
providing for a final report to be made by the task
force by a certain date; providing for a final report
to be made by the study commission by a certain date;
requiring the Secretary of Agriculture to study the
effectiveness of gasohol as an alternative fuel for
motor vehicles; requiring the Secretary to initiate a 1
year gasohol testing program using gasohol; authorizing
the use of certain Department of General Services motor
vehicles in the program; providing for the purposes of
the gasohol testing program and the funding of the
program; providing for the membership of the gasohol
testing program; directing the procedures to be
followed in conducting the testing program; providing
for a report date of the program to the Legislative
Policy Committee; providing a report date of the
Legislative Policy Committee's recommendations to the
Governor and General Assembly; and generally relating
to the testing of gasohol in State vehicles.
