LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 361

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 48A - Insurance Code

470J.

(b) After July 1, [1977] 1979, every insurer issuing a
policy of health insurance for delivery in this State which
provides coverage for in-patient hospital care ON AN
EXPENSE-INCURRED BASIS shall make known to its insured the
availability of home health care and shall make available
coverage for this care under such policy if requested by the
insured.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.

CHAPTER 362

(House Bill 899)

AN ACT concerning

Anne Arundel County and Annapolis -
Revenue and Taxes

FOR the purpose of limiting to a certain time period the
grant of taxing powers to Anne Arundel County relating
to certain fuels, utilities, telephone service, and
space rentals.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 411C

Annotated Code of Maryland

(1975 Replacement Volume and 1978 Supplement)

Preamble

During the 1977 Legislative Session, the General
Assembly enacted House Bill 914 and Senate Bill 536. Both
of these bills provided for the grant of certain similar
taxing powers to Anne Arundel County. Senate Bill 536,
which was vetoed by the Governor, would have extended the
then existing taxing power of Anne Arundel County until July
1, 1979. House Bill 914, which was signed into law by the
Governor as Chapter 494 of the Acts of 1977, repealed the
then existing taxing power and granted identical new taxing
