AN ACT concerning

Property Tax Assessment Appeal
Boards - Uniform Forms

FOR the purpose of requiring the Administrator of Property
Tax Appeals Boards to devise and prescribe uniform
forms and blanks for certain purposes.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

Section 224A(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article 81 - Revenue and Taxes

224A.

(a) The Governor with the advice and consent of the
Senate of Maryland shall appoint, for a term of six years,
an Administrator of the Property Tax Assessment Appeals
Boards. The Administrator shall promulgate and amend or
repeal uniform rules and regulations governing the
activities of the Property Tax Assessment Appeals Boards of
the counties and Baltimore City. The Administrator shall be
responsible for the consistent application of those rules
and regulations. THE ADMINISTRATOR SHALL DEVISE AND
PRESCRIBE UNIFORM FORMS, BLANKS FOR ORDERS, STATEMENTS
ADVISING TAXPAYERS OF THEIR RIGHT TO APPEAL, AND OTHER
NOTICES OR REPORTS REQUIRED OF PROPERTY TAX APPEALS BOARDS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1979.
