3-302. CHAIRMAN.

AT ITS FIRST MEETING AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH YEAR, THE
COUNTY BOARD SHALL ELECT A CHAIRMAN FROM AMONG ITS MEMBERS.

3-303. COMPENSATION AND EXPENSES.

(A)   COMPENSATION.

THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COUNTY BOARD IS ENTITLED TO RECEIVE
$850 ANNUALLY AS COMPENSATION AND THE OTHER MEMBERS ARE
ENTITLED TO RECEIVE $650 EACH ANNUALLY AS COMPENSATION.

(B)   EXPENSES.

THE CHAIRMAN AND THE OTHER MEMBERS ARE ENTITLED TO THE
ALLOWANCES FOR TRAVEL AND OTHER EXPENSES PROVIDED IN THE
CARROLL COUNTY BUDGET.

3-304. MEETINGS.

(A)   ACTIONS TO BE PUBLIC.

ALL ACTIONS OF THE COUNTY BOARD SHALL BE TAKEN AFTER A
PUBLIC MEETING AND A RECORD OF THE MEETING AND ALL ACTIONS
SHALL BE MADE PUBLIC.

(B)   EXECUTIVE SESSION.

THIS SECTION DOES NOT PROHIBIT THE COUNTY BOARD FROM
MEETING AND DELIBERATING IN EXECUTIVE SESSION, PROVIDED THAT
ALL ACTION IS TAKEN AFTER A PUBLIC MEETING AND THE RECORD
OF THE MEETING AND ALL ACTION IS MADE PUBLIC.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as Art.
77, §35B(d).

In this section, the present phrase "shall
perform the usual functions ... to" is deleted as
unnecessary. The present provision that
authorizes the Carroll County Board to adopt
bylaws is deleted in light of §4-107(4) of this
article.
