(Senate Bill 770)

AN ACT concerning

Corrective Bill — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Article

FOR the purpose of correcting technical errors in certain
sections of the Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article
of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

Section 2-506(b), 10-401(3), (4), and (8), and

10-408 (a) (4) and (c) (1)
Annotated Code of Maryland
(1974 Volume and 1977 Supplement)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That section(s) of the Annotated Code of Maryland
be repealed, amended, or enacted to read as follows:

Article — Courts and Judicial Proceedings

2-506.

(b) A court crier shall receive the per diem
compensation [proved] PROVIDED by this section for attending
the circuit court:

(1)    Caroline - $10;

(2)    Cecil - As set by the County Commissioners;

(3)    Kent - $17.50;

(4)    Queen Anne's - $17.50;

(5)    Somerset — As set by the County
Commissioners;

(6)    Talbot - As set by the County
Commissioners;

(7)    Wicomico — As set by the County
Commissioners.

As used in this subtitle, the following terms have the
meanings indicated:
