These provisions are decodified since they will
soon become obsolete. Cross references to these
provisions are inserted in the appropriate
revisor's notes and General Revisor's Notes.

The only changes are in style.

SECTION 11. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That nothing in
this Act repeals, amends, or affects in any way Chapter 823,
Acts of 1977, which, subject to approval by the voters of
Somerset County at a referendum in November of 1978,
establishes an elected county board of education for
Somerset County.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is added to make clear
that Ch. 823, Acts of 1977 is not repealed or
affected by this Act. Ch. 823, Acts of 1977,
added a new section. Art. 77, §35C, to the Code
that is subject to voter approval at a referendum
in November of 1978. Should the voters of
Somerset County approve Ch- 823, its provisions
will be added as Subtitle 9 of Title 3 of the
Education Article.

SECTION 12. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That provisions
substantially identical to Art. 77A, Sections 12A through
12J, inclusive, 14B through 14K, inclusive, 16, 17, 20
through 27AD, inclusive and 71 and 75 through 82, inclusive,
be printed in the "Laws of Maryland" (The Session Laws),
under certain subtitles, to read as follows:

I. BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE STATE
UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES.

12A. Housing facilities -— Definitions.

As used in §§ 12A—12J, inclusive, of this subtitle, the
following words and terms shall have the following meaning,
unless the context shall indicate another different meaning
or intent: (1) The word "resolution" shall mean a
resolution adopted by a majority of the members of the board
of trustees of the State colleges; (2) The word "costs" as
applied to any project shall embrace the cost of
construction, the cost of the acquisition of all land,
rights—of—way, property rights, easements and interests
acquired for such construction, the cost of all machinery
and equipment, financing charges, interest prior to and
during construction and for one year after completion of
construction, the cost of engineering and legal expenses,
plans, specifications, surveys, estimates of costs and
revenue, other expenses necessary or incident to determining
the feasibility or practicability of construction of any
project, administrative expenses, and such other expense as
may be necessary or incident to the construction of any
project, the financing of such construction and the placing
