THROUGH FISCAL YEAR 1983, THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
EDUCATION SHALL SATISFY ITS OBLIGATION OF FORMER ARTICLE
77, §177(E) BY EQUAL YEARLY PAYMENTS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as the
first sentence of Section 3 of Ch. 288, Acts of
1977 (which was not codified).

The only changes are in style.

GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Article 77, §176 (h), which authorizes participation in
the cooperative library program by libraries in operation
before 1945 under the terms of their charters, is deleted as
unnecessary. This subtitle does not limit participation by
these libraries.

TITLE 24. MISCELLANEOUS EDUCATION AGENCIES.

SUBTITLE 1. EDUCATION COORDINATING COMMITTEE.

24-101. COMMITTEE ESTABLISHED.

THERE IS AN EDUCATION COORDINATING COMMITTEE.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first
sentence of Art. 77A, §32B(a).

It is set forth as a separate section for
emphasis.

The balance of present Art. 77A, §32B(a) now
appears in §24—102 of this subtitle.

24-102. COMPOSITION.

THE EDUCATION COORDINATING COMMITTEE CONSISTS OF EIGHT
MEMBERS. OF THE MEMBERS:

(1)    THREE SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE STATE BOARD OF
EDUCATION SELECTED BY ITS PRESIDENT;

(2)   THREE SHALL BE MEMBERS OF THE STATE BOARD FOR
HIGHER EDUCATION SELECTED BY ITS CHAIRMAN;

(3)    ONE SHALL BE THE STATE SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
EX OFFICIO; AND

(4)   ONE SHALL BE THE COMMISSIONER OF HIGHER EDUCATION
EX OFFICIO.
