LAWS OF MARYLAND

Ch. 22

77A, §61(a) through (e).

Present Art. 77A, §61(f) through (h) are deleted
as unnecessary in light of the similar general
provisions of §§ 18-103, 18-106, and 18-108 of
this title.
In subsection (c) (2) of this section, a
requirement that the recipient of a scholarship
be admitted to the School of Medicine is
substituted for the present requirement that an
applicant for a scholarship have a bachelor's
degree or be admitted under an early admissions
program. This conforms to the requirement of the
last sentence of present Art. 77A, §61 (d) that
admission to the School of Medicine is a
prerequisite to receipt of a scholarship.

The formal definitions of "area of need" and
"State health service" in present Art. 77A,
§61(a) are deleted as unnecessary, although their
substance is retained in subsection (c) (4) of
this section.

The only other changes are in style.

As to the enforcement of a recipient's bond, see
§18-108 of this title.
