Ch. 22

The terms of the members of the State Scholarship
Board expire as follows: three in 1979, two in
1981, two in 1982, and two in 1983.

The only changes are in style.

18-203. CHAIRMAN AND OFFICERS; MEETINGS.

(A)   OFFICERS.

(1)    THE GOVERNOR SHALL DESIGNATE ONE OF THE
MEMBERS AS THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD.

(2)   THE BOARD MAY ELECT ANY OTHER OFFICER IT
REQUIRES.

(B)   MEETINGS.
THE BOARD:

(1)    SHALL MEET AT LEAST ONCE IN EACH FISCAL
YEAR;

(2)   MAY MEET AT ANY OTHER TIME THAT THE CHAIRMAN
DESIGNATES; AND

(3)   MAY ADOPT RULES FOR THE CONDUCT OF ITS

MEETINGS.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section presently appears as the
third sentence of Art. 77A, §54 (a) and Art. 77A,
§54(d).

Subsections (a) (2) and (b) (3) of this section are
new language added to conform to similar
provisions appearing elsewhere in this article.

The only other changes are in style.

18-204. POWERS AND DUTIES OF BOARD.

(A)   IN GENERAL.

IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER POWERS GRANTED AND DUTIES
IMPOSED BY THIS TITLE, THE STATE SCHOLARSHIP BOARD HAS THE
POWERS AND DUTIES SET FORTH IN THIS SECTION.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language added
to indicate clearly that the powers and duties
enumerated in this section are not exclusive.

(B)   ADMINISTRATION OF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS TITLE, THE BOARD
SHALL:

(1) ADMINISTER THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS UNDER
