RESOLUTION

BRANDENBURG ANNEXATION

WHEREAS; a certain Resolution pertaining to Annexation was
introduced at a regularly scheduled meeting of the
Mayor and Council for the City of Hagerstown, Maryland
on June 6, 1977; and

WHEREAS; after proper notice in accordance with Article 23A,
Section 19 of the Annotated Code of Maryland; a Public
Hearing was held or Monday, July 25, 1977 at 4:00 P.M.,
in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

[Section 15-2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Washington County, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.

Effective Date September 8, 1977]

RESOLUTION TO ANNEX

Resolution of the Town of Hancock to enlarge the
corporate boundaries of the Municipal Corporation and annex
land contiguous and adjoining the existing corporate area
pursuant to the authority of Section 19 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), as amended.

WHEREAS, for convenience of reference, the Town of
Hancock, a municipal corporation of the State of Maryland,
has authority in Section 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition) , as amended, to enlarge the
corporate boundaries of the municipal corporation, and

WHEREAS, the area intended to be annexed is contiguous
and adjoining to the existing corporate area as required by
said Section 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, and

WHEREAS, The Town of Hancock has obtained the consent
for the proposed annexation from 100% of the property owners
who own or reside in the area to be annexed and consent from
the owners of 100% of the assessed valuation of the
properties located in the area to be annexed, which consents
meet the requirements of said Section 19 of Article 23A of
the Annotated Code of Maryland; a copy of the consent
