RESOLUTION NO. 8-77

A RESOLUTION TO PROPOSE AN AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE IX OF
THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FREDERICK, ENTITLED "PERSONNEL
ADMINISTRATION", BY REPEALING SECTION 137-B, ENTITLED
"RETIREMENT", AND PLACING IN LIEU THEREOF A NEW SECTION
137-B.

[Section 137-B of Article IX of the Charter of
Frederick, Frederick County, repealed and added.

Effective Date June 24, 1977]

GAITHERSBURG

(Montgomery County)

RESOLUTION NO. R-4-77

A RESOLUTION ANNEXING TO THE CITY OF GAITHERSBURG TWO
(2) PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE PRESENT
CORPORATE LIMITS AND ADJACENT TO SHADY GROVE VILLAGE
CONSISTING OF 4,061 SQUARE FEET AND 1.3 ACRES RESPECTIVELY
AND DENYING ANNEXATION OF TWO (2) PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED
ALONG NORTH WESTLAND DRIVE AND SOUTH OF EAST DEER PARK ROAD
RESPECTIVELY.

WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council of Gaithersburg
have received petitions requesting the enlargement of the
corporate boundaries of the City of Gaithersburg so as to
include two areas, hereinafter designated Parcel One and
Parcel Two, encompassing land located adjacent to the
present corporate boundaries, and

WHEREAS, the signatures on the said petitions for
annexation have been verified and it has been ascertained
that the persons signing said petitions are owners of not
less than twenty-five per centum (25%) of the assessed
valuation of the real property located in the area to be
annexed, and it has been ascertained that there are no
persons residing in the area to be annexed who are
registered voters in County Elections, and

WHEREAS, the City of Gaithersburg is the owner of two
parcels of land adjacent to the present corporate
boundaries, hereinafter designated Parcel Three and Parcel
Four, which the Mayor and Council propose to include within
the City boundaries, which two parcels have no persons
residing upon them, and

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council following public hearing
have concluded that Parcels One and Two should not be
annexed to the City but that Parcels Three and Four should
be.
