Dear Dr. Everstine:

This letter is in response to an inquiry from Celia
Alvanos of your staff. Celia requested that we furnish
information concerning special elections held in 1977.

Please be advised that in accordance with the
provisions of Section 1A of Article 11—A of the State
Constitution both Charles and Washington Counties held
elections dealing with the charter form of government. Both
elections were held on November 8, 1977, with the results
being as follows:
